Creative Sense 2: Replacement icons for the Adobe Creative Suite icons.
Written descriptions of all the icons from this set are available at [link]
The download includes icons for both Mac OS X and Windows.
Icons are available those illustrated, except for Adobe Premiere. The 3D models used for much of the base art were lost in a computer upgrade and so I've chosen to release the icons now. That silhouetted icon there? That would have been Premiere.
There are some pretty major differences between these icons and the original set, including specifically redrawn 32px and 16px art. Colours are improved and many details were reworked to help with readability. All the fine detail in the 128px and greater icons are secondary; each icon was considered first and foremost for use at smaller sizes, with silhouette shapes being a major factor.
Mac OS X icons are provided in CandyBar's iContainer format as well as separate ICNS files with copyable thumbnails. Windows icons are provided as ICOs.
Mac OS X icons include sizes at 512, 256, 128, 32 and 16 pixels. Windows icons include 256, 48, 32 and 16 pixels.
As always, these are provided free for your personal use. Enjoy!
I really like these icons, and the corresponding folders. Although I have no use for Creative Suite, I still use several of them on my Mac. (Your Illustrator icon is gorgeous, and I use it for Pixelmator; and the InDesign icon is used on Skim. Hopefully I can make something half as good-looking as the sample pages one day. )
I notice on your home page that the banner says “Creative Sense 3.0”, with the long-awaited Premiere Pro icon (which would be an iMovie replacement for me). Are we going to get these any time soon?
Whilst it's true that I had begun work on version three, it's stalled as I haven't had as much time lately to work on them. The main goals for v3 was to redraw (again) the smallest of icons where I've identified improvements could be made, and to recreate the Premiere icon.
What's seen in v3 is a work in progress of that icon; I haven't finished modelling it yet. It's been really hard trying to recreate the rigging setup I'd created for the icons with the camera, lighting, materials and shaders etc.
There's also been a bit of a shift in design from going crazy customising the OS (either OS X or Windows) and just using stock. People, myself included, wonder what people are thinking when their desktop has a custom cursor on it, for example. I guess a lot of that early crazy experimentation of the 90s and early 00s is giving way to somewhat homogenous stability.
There's 512px art in the Mac ICNS files. You're welcome to extract them if you want, there's programs that can do that for both Mac and Windows. As a general rule, I don't distribute PNG files of my icons.

So for now it's on hold again - but maybe one day
Glad you've enjoyed the icons!
